With the Long Beach Expo just a few weeks away dealers are already making plans for arriving early to visit local coin shops and attend the Pre Long Beach auctions. It should be a rewarding 10 days in Southern California.
We continue to monitor dealers transacting sales of high grade rarities at premiums of the NumisMedia FMV. Astute, advanced collectors are stockpiling rarities for the future. Many of these coins have very low census numbers, usually less than five coins total in the upper grades.

We are receiving a lot of positive feedback from dealers who are already using it to their advantage. We are also inviting our dealer subscribers and members to participate in affecting these prices by sending us your input for legitimate wholesale prices for properly graded coins.
The metals are again beginning the week on a surge. Gold moved to $638.20 so far this morning, while Silver rose above $13.00, to $13.05. Platinum is higher at $1157.
