The metals are down markedly this morning as profit-taking leads the way. However, rare coins continue to be extremely active at current FMV levels or higher. The FMV has been modified for many rarities (mostly higher) as we receive more results from the FUN Show. Throughout this weeks Wholesale Market Dealer Price Guide - High Denominations you will find advances in each series. It looks like Prooflike Dollars are beginning to see more interest as Deep Mirror Prooflikes are becoming more difficult to locate at reasonable levels. Bust Half Dollars and Dollars are about as solid as they can be. Premium coins for the grade will bring prices well above current levels, while accurately graded coins will bring current wholesale prices. In addition, coins that may have problems will still be traded, but at discounts, to buyers not willing to pay the higher prices for selective coins. Early Gold is still an easy seller to astute buyers with the knowledge that the availability of problem free coins is dwindling.
