The metals have jump started as the last week of the year begins. So far this morning Gold is up over $5 at $625.00 and Silver is up $.12 at $12.65. Platinum is currently at $1124. The feeling is still very strong that metals will continue higher into the new year. While it may appear to be a quiet holiday season, we hear reports of large trading activity within bullion related U.S. coins. As long as the metals remain steady to higher, market sentiment is that collector/investors will add to their personal holdings. For most dealers FUN begins next Tuesday the 2nd of January. That is when hundreds of them will tackle the long week in Orlando. It begins with several major auctions and ends when the last dealer leaves the massive bourse. Expectations are very high that dealers will start the year with a very positive attitude. Most feel their coin business will continue to grow as new collectors join the ranks of the thousands added to the list of progressive numismatists.
