The metals are hot once again and it means that FMV is higher on all the bullion related material. When the market moves in such dramatic fashion, it usually attracts lots of buyers concerned with the overall economy and prices moving even higher. They tend to jump on the bandwagon before the prices go out of sight. Whether this is the current trend we will soon find out as the metals try to burst through various levels and take out any positions of major investors. Most analysts feel the market is headed to higher ground and the moves could be more methodical this time around. With the Baltimore Summer Coin and Currency Convention just around the corner, many dealers are anticipating a high volume of business. This is one of, if not the best show on the East Coast and it attracts thousands of dealers and collectors. Most dealers still have long lists of needs and this is a show that brings out more local dealers that do not travel out of the area. The market for major rarities is steady to higher and if the census indicates that there are few coins graded, the FMV continues to rise. Advanced collectors with money to spend are not afraid of paying a premium to get the coins they want. This morning Gold is $623.70 and Silver is $11.28. Platinum is currently up to $1236. These are all way up from last week at this time and the outlook is very positive for the short term. -What's Hot? $10 Indian Gold – MS63 and Higher BU Rolls – Dollars, Walkers, Franklins Gold Commems – MS63 and Higher Silver Commems – MS63 and Higher Barber Coins – MS63 and higher Early Gold -- $2 ˝, $5, & $10 XF & higher Battle Creek Dollars – Lovely Toned Morgan’s Carson City Dollars – Gov’t Holders Carson City Dollars – NGC Certified Walkers – 1916 to 1947 MS63 and higher Indian Cents – Red & Red/Brown MS & Proof Early Lincoln Cents – Red; MS64 & higher Key Dates in all series Dollars – Morgan & Peace in MS63 and Higher Modern Commems – With Orig.
