As the New Year begins, everybody is heading for the Florida FUN Convention. Expectations are quite high, which is not always a good thing. However, the market is as hot as it has ever been going into this first major event of the year. In addition to the FUN Show, there are several major auctions taking place beginning as early as today and the amount of fresh new material is going to amaze even some of the more experienced numismatists. If you can't find it in Florida it is probably too rare and expensive to buy. The metals continue to hold strong at current levels and many analysts are certain that this is just the beginning of a major move to higher levels. If metals remain in an upward trend, we are sure to see more dramatic increases in FMV prices in most numismatic areas. The confidence level rises considerably and makes most dealers strong buyers in many areas of the market, especially bullion related coins. Gold is currently at $517, with Silver at $8.82. Platinum is holding at $964. -What's Hot?
